Jah Is Real coming soon each time I take a look at the artwork of the cover I cannot believe how the Photographer was led to this water fall. So much life into the cover the fresh water from the river running into the sea, I man sitting on a rock feeling so free, what could be more real. This was the start of a wonderful journey for I man every decision I made was the right decision for I man both musical and personal.

On Wednesday to celebrate my 10 Bikram Yoga class Sonia and I decided to go to our favorite store to get candles and incense, and see what book they had that was new. After the silent sign release itself from the neck of Sonia, she now wears the Ankh symbol around her neck. While in the store our attention was drawn to this eye symbol, Sonia say “that it that my third eye, this is the symbol I must now wear around my neck”. The young lady in the store comments that this is the only one and it’s the first time they ever have anything like this in the store. And she was thinking about buying it. Now she sees the rightful owner, it belongs to Sonia. Oh what a delight Sonia eyes was fill with joy,”yes Spear now I can see them from a distance. This is the reason we are at the store today so I could get my third eye.

When I write my breaking news or blog its base on my day to day experience and the challenges I face as reggae artists, operating my own label.

Before I write any more I would like to thank all the wonderful people in the music industry that voted for Burning Spear Jah Is Real for a Grammy Nominee in the reggae category.

This is my 11th Nomination and I won once for Calling Rastafari while I was with Rounder/ Heartbeat Records. I Burning Spear never believed in moving from record company to record company so I and Rounder/ Heartbeat had a relationship that spam over 15 years.

Reggae legend Burning Spear has been through more than his share of trials, but the biggest test of Spear’s positive message of unity, peace, and love came on his first trip to Kenya last year.

The country had been rocked with violence when a bitter election campaign sparked intergroup conflict that raged for months. The United Nations called on Spear, who had adopted at the start of his career the nom de guerre of Kenyan freedom fighter and first president Jomo Kenyatta, to perform in Nairobi. Spear was welcomed like a long-lost king and stayed on the spot where Kenyatta fought for the country’s independence from the U.K. Nonetheless, the concert organizer was so nervous about the potential for bloodshed among listeners that she was sick to her stomach.
